One of the most elusive sequels to a cult-classic is finally confirmed for an imminent release with Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Fans of the addicting action-RPG will be able to get their hands on the game next month, March 31 on PC. The developers also shared that it will be priced at $49.99. Check out the new trailer here!
An eternity ago, even before the PS4 & Xbox One were whispers, did TaleWorlds Entertainment a proper sequel to the PC hit Mount & Blade. Being a highly ambitious and vast game, development took quite some time, earning the game a dubious honor by its fans of never coming out.
This long wait is now soon coming to an end, with the developer’s announcement that Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is very close to release. Despite the eight years of development, M&BII will still come out as an Early Access title on PC, but at this point, fans are willing to take it nonetheless. There simply is no other game quite like it. Well, at least until recently. With Freeman: Guerilla Warfare, the fellow indie title has successfully managed to scratch that fascinating itch of starting out as a peasant and slowly working your way into a bona fide kingdom.
At the moment, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will only release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. But with its predecessor Mount & Blade: Warband having released on consoles as well, chances are ports for the PS4 and Xbox One will come sometime down the line.
