When I woke up today, I've never heard of Peter Farrelly's (of the Farrelly Brothers) ensemble comedy Movie 43. Then I saw the Red Band trailer. After watching it three times, I can easily say that I'm really looking forward to this movie, and it might even be one of the funniest trailers I've ever seen.
You'll wonder how a comedy so off-the-wall can lure in actors like Halle Berry, Richard Gere, Kate Winslet, Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts and Hugh Jackman. Oh, but that's not all; add in Elizabeth Banks, Emma Stone, Chloë Grace Moretz, Gerard Butler, Kristen Bell, Anna Faris, Seann William Scott, Chris Pratt, Justin Long, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Josh Duhamel, Liev Schreiber, Kat Bosworth, Leslie Bibb, Jack McBrayer, Johnny Knoxville and Jason Sudeikis. Holy f*ck that's a lot of big names.
A comedy that intertwines a bunch of different tales, it's ambitious to say the least, but just watch the trailer and you'll be thinking what I'm thinking: that there's no way this movie won't work. The Terrence Howard parts alone, with the basketball team, had me cracking up. Movie 43 releases on January 25, 2013.
