Muramasa Rebirth graces the PlayStation Vita in June

Muramasa Rebirth, the remastered version of the Wii original, is scheduled for a June 25 release on PlayStation Vita.

For an extra $20, customers can preorder a collector's edition that comes with a face plate and system skin for the Vita, a drawstring pouch, and a lithograph displaying art from the game.

Rebirth is a graphically improved upgrade of developer Vanillaware's Muramasa: The Demon Blade, an action-role-playing game that debuted in 2009 on Nintendo's last-generation, standard-definition console. We learned about it back in January.

Aksys Games is handling the localization, which shows improvement over the previous version, and has announced downloadable content for the title.

Vanillaware is currently preparing to release a new game for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita this summer called Dragon's Crown.
