One of the issues the Xbox One has suffered through its early months is a complete lack of games that run at 1080p. The PlayStation 4, however, hasn’t had much trouble seeing its games reach that resolution. Developer Airtight Games, currently working on Murdered: Soul Suspect, will buck that recent trend.
“I can confirm that Murdered will run 1080p on both Xbox One and PS4; we have decided to lock the frames at 30 [fps] for this product,” Senior Design Producer Eric Studer recently told GamingBolt. When asked about some of the issues others have mentioned regarding the Xbox One, particularly when it comes to the console’s eSRAM, Studer said he did not hear of any.
So resolution won’t be the determining factor between console versions. What about specific features? You can rule out anything with the Kinect, but when it comes to the DualShock 4, PS4 owners should be on the lookout. Studer mentioned that they “are utilizing the PS4 controller in a few fun ways that you’ll have to discover.”
Murdered: Soul Suspect will release on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 on June 3rd.
