Mushroom Wars is a dynamic real-time strategy game that originally released on the PS3 back in 2009, and has gradually made its way to other platforms, like PC and mobile over the last few years. Now developer Zillion Whales is getting ready to release its sequel into Closed Beta on July 28th and it needs your help to make sure that everything is good to go for the game's launch.
Players who participate in the closed beta will be able to test some of the game's all-new hero characters in online competitive multiplayer or with their friends in custom free-for-all or team matches. Anyone who already owns the original Mushroom Wars on Steam will be given automatic access to the closed beta, but if for some reason you don't already have the game, you can sign up for the closed beta here.
Zillion Whales had this to say in an official press release:
"Mushroom Wars 2 builds upon its predecessor by introducing hero characters, reimagined campaigns for each tribe of mushroom folk, even wilder co-op and competitive multiplayer, as well as a visual overhaul, while preserving the core gameplay mechanics that made the original Mushroom Wars so enjoyable."
Mushroom Wars 2 recently won the award for Best Strategy Game at the international White Nights games conference and will release in full later this year.
