Mutant Mudds dev wants to release next game by Q2 2012

We've already established that Mutant Mudds, the downloadable 2D platformer for the 3DS from developer Renegade Kid, is pretty damn awesome. GameZone's own Robert Workman loved the eShop game so much that he gave it a 9/10 review score. Naturally, it would be justifiable to be excited to see what the developer has up its proverbial sleeve for the future.

Last week it was revealed that Renegade Kid was working on a new game for Nintendo's dual screen handheld. Details are currently, well, practically nonexistent, actually. All we know is that the game is called Bomb Monkey, and that it's probably going to be a puzzle game of some sort. That's it.

Renegade Kid Director Jools Watsham recently tweeted that he hoped to have the game released digitally by the second quarter of this year. Now, that doesn't mean Bomb Monkey is definitely launching during that time period, but at least we have an idea as to the developer's plans for the release.

Mutant Mudds was a great game, so it should go without saying that the folks over at Renegade Kid have the tools to make kick-ass games. Let's hope we get more details on Bomb Monkey soon.
