So last week, Activision and Treyarch announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Although the official reveal will take place on April 26, a brief teaser trailer was released.
The video provides all sort of hints about the upcoming game, but the most intriguing seem to be coordinates hidden throughout the teaser. Over the past few days, fans have been scraping through the video, looking for the coordinators and searching for meaning behind them. The common tactic seems to be plugging the coordinates into Google Maps and finding the location they point to. Of course, this only leads to more speculation.
So far coordinates have pointed to:
- Gefangis Zürich, a prison located in Switzlerand (though it's debatable)
- 6 October Bridge, Qasr an Nile, Cairo Governorate, Egypt
- A location in Singapore
I'll be completely honest, I have no idea what this means. Are they locations you'll be visiting in-game? Are they hints at something else entirely? No clue, but I welcome your speculation. After all, isn't that what teasers are all about?
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be officially unveiled on April 26; however, the official Call of Duty website has already leaked a few interesting details.
