Namco Bandai announces sweet pre-order incentives for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z

Dragon Ball Z fans might be slightly disappointed to learn that the new, team based fighter, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, won't be releasing this year. Maybe they didn't want to compete with next-gen system sales? Whatever the case may be, you'll have to wait until early 2014 to step into your favorite Z fighter's shoes, and blast your enemies with Kamehamehas.

While it isn't a given, or universal truth, there is a chance that if you enjoy Dragon Ball Z, you enjoy the Naruto series as well. Namco Bandai has announced a pretty sweet pre-order incentive. Those who pre-order will get a bonus outfit for Goku, straight from the Naruto universe. Players can outfit Goku with Naruto's Sage Mode costume. There will also be other pre-order character unlocks, such as Super Vegito and Super Saiyan Bardock, available from various, still unconfirmed retailers.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z marks a significant push forward for Dragon Ball Z games both in its expanded team and online gameplay mechanics and improved HD graphical presentation, said Chris Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. The Dragon Ball Z franchise has been a perennial favorite amongst Japanese videogame, manga, and anime fans and we're excited to offer our loyal Dragon Ball Z fans additional content to go with the innovative and heightened experience they will have with Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z.

The game will be available early 2014 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
