Namco Bandai on Tales Localization

While North American Wii owners desperately hope that RPGs such as The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower make their way from Japan to this side of the world, PlayStation 3 gamers have a similar reason to be upset. Japan just seems to get awesome RPGs that everyone wants to play regardless of the system. One such franchise is Tales, and you can bet PlayStation 3 owners living in North America are itching to play through the latest entries in the famed series.

While we know for a fact that Tales of Graces F is set to land in North America some time next year, we still have no clue as to whether or not Tales of Xillia, due out in Japan in September, will ever make its way to these parts. In an interview with Kingdom of Tales, Namco Tales Studio’s Makoto Yoshizumi addressed the upcoming game’s localization outside of Japan.

According to Yoshizumi, the success of Tales of Graces F won’t have a direct impact on whether or not Tales of Xillia sees a release outside of Japan. Instead, Namco Tales Studio will respond to the fan reaction surrounding the game. The executive promised that if fans really show that they want Tales of Xillia, they’ll get it.

That’s pretty straightforward. If gamers want a certain title, they should express their desire for it and the developers will listen. So if you really want Tales of Xillia localized in the future, hit up the developers on Facebook, through email, and with the ever unpredictable YouTube videos that everyone seems to like posting these days.
