Namco Generations Give Old Favorites a Facelift

Pac-Man fans rejoice! Namco Bandai Games America Inc. has announced a new chapter for beloved classics.

“Namco Bandai holds a rich heritage of classic games that shaped the early history of the video game industry. They defined what arcade games should be, and set the benchmark for retro revivals with Pac-Man Championship Edition and Galaga Legions. Namco Bandai Games will continue to raise that bar with Namco Generations,” said Carlson Choi, vice president of marketing for Namco Bandai Games America Inc.

These updated favorites promise mind-blowing HD, enhanced gameplay features and an online community featuring news and live play for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 platforms.

In 2007, Pac-Man C.E. swept the world on Xbox Live Arcade, iPhone OS, and Android, resulting in the World Championship hosted in New York City. Updates in gameplay and live competition when combined with the addictive nature of classic arcade goodness creates a result that is easy to love.

Imagine your ex-girlfriend (parted amicably) but suddenly a little bit hotter and with a couple of extra interesting hobbies or skills. You might get sick of it for the same reasons, or you might just keep playing all the way to the World Championship.

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX will be released on November 17 for Xbox LIVE Arcade, and November 23 for PlayStation Network. Future Generations updates include Galaga Legions DX and Aero-Cross, a reimagining of Namco’s 1985 arcade hit, Metro-Cross.
