Puts Award-Winning Super Sleuth Series on Retail Shelves for Holiday 2000
Season
BELLEVUE,
Wash., November 1, 2000 – Her Interactive, a leading developer of
interactive entertainment for girls, today announced that it has signed a
distribution and publishing agreement with DreamCatcher Interactive, Inc. The
terms of the deal grant DreamCatcher the exclusive rights to distribute Her
Interactive’s Nancy Drew mystery adventure PC games worldwide. The
characters and stories used in the games are based on the internationally
best-selling Nancy Drew books. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Her
Interactive is the developer of three Nancy Drew interactive entertainment
titles for the PC platform, including: Nancy Drew: Stay Tuned for Danger and
Nancy Drew: Secrets Can Kill, and the soon to be released, Nancy Drew: Message
in a Haunted Mansion. The series has garnered more than 20 major awards,
including: Parent’s Choice Gold Award, National Parenting Publications Gold
Award and Coalition for Quality Children’s Media Endorsement. Prior to
signing the DreamCatcher agreement, Her Interactive distributed its titles
through e-tail channels such as Amazon.com, where the games were consistently
ranked in the “Top 15.”

The
Nancy Drew titles carry an ESRB rating of “E” (Everyone) and are priced at
$29.99. DreamCatcher will release Nancy Drew: Message in a Haunted Mansion in
mid-November, 2000 with the two other titles in the series, Secrets Can Kill
and Stay Tuned for Danger, to follow shortly thereafter.
