Naughty Dog confirms The Last of Us leaked concept art is fake

Earlier today, we reported on "leaked" concept art from Naughty Dog's The Last of Us. The screenshot, which made its way to the public via Italian news site 4news, is indeed a fake.

Naughty Dog Creative Director Neil Druckmann confirmed today that the concept art is not related to The Last of Us.

Druckmann informed fans via Twitter, "Leaked concept art making the rounds today is a fake. Not related to TLoU."

To be honest, we should've seen this one coming.  The character models for both Ellie and Joel didn't even resemble what we've seen in previous concept images.  But who knows.  These days it's so easy to make a picture and claim it as a leak that it's hard to tell what is real and what is fake.  In this case, the image from today was fake.
