Naughty Dog Might Be Looking to New Games and Genres

The hit makers might be brewing another hit.

Naughty Dog, known for practically all of their IPs being hit franchises, might be working on a new intellectual property with a new genre. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is coming at the end of August and The Last of Us 2  is currently in development, but the game development world never stops, and many have wondered what's next for the Father of Crash Bandicoot.

Naughty Dog Game Director Shawn Escayg recently sat down with DailyStar to talk about what's to come from the company. At first, he implied that it may be another Uncharted spin-off, as Naughty Dog has pinned  the series as "bigger than Nathan Drake." But he also explained that it could be something else entirely.

“Yes, it’s pretty exciting..We don’t know what the future holds, but you’re right, it could be something new. It could be another Uncharted, who knows. Naughty Dog is not afraid of exploring more stuff.

The entire studio is like that, everyone wants to try something new. There are so many new ideas, it’s the culture at Naughty Dog, we love ideas. The studio right now is just teeming with new content and new ideas building up new worlds, new genres. it’s a constant melting pot of new ideas.”
