Naughty Dog working on new third-person action title

The Last of Us 2 or something new?

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is only a couple weeks old and news about Naughty Dog starting on their next title have already started.

Naughty Dog is already looking for new developers for their unannounced third person action oriented game. The news comes from lead game designer Emilia Schatz, via Gamingbolt, where she tweeted out a new job listing.

The job requirements are centered around knowing how to model characters and have the ability to "bring fun and emotionally engaging third-person action gameplay" to the table. Nothing too out of the ordinary from recent Naughty Dog games, so there's really no definitive answer on what game this is or could be.

People have already started to speculate that this could be the start of The Last of Us 2, which plenty of gamers want including myself, however, at the moment, it seems unlikely. Neil Druckmann, lead director for both The Last of Us and Uncharted 4, stated before that development on TLoU's sequel won't start until Uncharted 4' single player DLC is released.

This means we got quite a while until the actual development cycle for The Last of Us 2 is in play as Uncharted 4's single player DLC is set to release in Spring of 2017.

But, this doesn’t mean Naughty Dog is getting more talent to the team before development cycle starts. However, it also could be a whole brand new IP from the team. With E3 2016 closely approaching, perhaps some sort of tease will give us a glimpse of what is next for the stellar developers.

What do you think, though — Do you think Naughty Dog is gearing of for The Last of Us 2 or something new? Let us know in the comments below!
