NBA 2K12 Team Ratings Revealed, Miami Heat Overrated?

Last week, the basketball gaming community received shocking news that LeBron James was the highest rated player in NBA 2K12.  This week, the Miami love affair continues with the reveal that the Miami Heat have the highest team overall rating in NBA 2K12, and likely pre-season favorites.  Of course, this should be no surprise for those of you who have seen individual player ratings and noticed the top two highest rated players are James (98) and Wade (96).

Nothing seems to have changed for the overrated Miami Heat, despite being outperformed by the Dallas Mavericksin in last year's NBA Championship.  The Heat are once again the pre-season favorite, with the 1st ranked defense and 3rd ranked offense. The shocking reveal is that when the game is on the line in the 4th quarter the Miami Heat team rating drops to 30th in the league.

Despite what you think of the Heat, there is no denying they have a talented big three, but the simple fact remains that they don't play well together and that is why I'm shocked they are ranked 1st overall.  That, and the fact that they have no inside presence and lack quality depth.

And where do the reigning champs check in?  The Dallas Mavericks host the 1st ranked offense and the 9th ranked defense for the 5th highest team overall.  Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls, who lost to the Heat in the Conference Finals, feature the 2nd highest overall with the 2nd ranked defense and 19th ranked offense.

The top 5 is rounded out by the Boston Celtics (6th defense, 10th offense, 3rd overall) and Los Angeles Lakers (3rd defense, 12 offense, 4th overall)
