NBA 2K13 confirmed for Wii U

There will be a Wii U version of NBA 2K13, 2K Games confirmed today.

While the game will be released for the traditional consoles (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii), 2K announced there will be a Wii U version available in the launch window "at a later date".

2K games didn't go into specifics with a launch date, but did say it will be available during the holiday season which is when the Wii U is expected to release.

While I expect more information about the Wii U and its launch titles, which NBA 2K13 now looks to be a part of, will be revealed at E3, I don't think we'll hear any solid details about a release date.  Nintendo has already confirmed the Wii U's release date and pricing will not be revealed at E3 this year.

Either way, we know we can look forward to NBA 2K13 on the Wii U, but my big question is how 2K Games will utilize the Wii U's tablet controller.  How would you like to see it used?

Meanwhile, 2K Games announced bonuses for those who pre-order NBA 2K13 on Xbox 360 and PS3.  However, I expect there will be some sort of incentive for the Wii U version at a later date.
