Take-Two Interactive had a lot to celebrate over when it released its 2013 fiscal year sales earnings to its company’s investors. Not only did Take-Two bring in $1.214 billion throughout the timeframe that ended March 31, titles like BioShock Infinite and Borderlands 2 posed stunning numbers that continue to climb. However, amidst all the celebrations, Take-Two took time to announce a release date for their popular basketball series, NBA 2K.
NBA 2K14 will be hitting store shelves on October 1, 2013 according to the investors call. Last year’s installment – NBA 2K13 – fared remarkably well on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, WiiU, iOS, Playstation Portable and Andriod, and looks to do the same this year, though it may feature competition from the NBA LIVE franchise (if indeed that finally lifts off the ground like EA assumes it will).
Neither Take-Two nor 2K Sports confirmed what consoles NBA 2K14 will be arriving on, but Amazon currently lists Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, so take that for what it’s worth until 2K Sports fills us in with new details.
