NBA 2K14 is the fastest-selling release in the history of 2K Sports' basketball simulation franchise.
Yesterday, parent-company Take-Two Interactive reported on the game's sales, revealing that NBA 2K14, developed by Visual Concepts, has already sold-in (aka shipped) more than five million units. The franchise as a whole has now sold-in nearly 35 million units to date.
NBA 2K14 first launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 1. Next-gen versions of the game were available at the launch of both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to NPD Group, NBA 2K14 was the top-selling sports game on both next-gen consoles in November. Given the reviews, it's not hard to understand why.
