We are 2 weeks away from NBA 2K18’s release and a bunch of new details have emerged for the Switch version. A representative of 2K just confirmed to Gamespot that the Switch version does not have Amiibo support.
NBA 2K18 will be the first of the series to debut on Nintendo’s console. Many have speculated about the features and modes that will come to Switch, however, it seems it will come with all the key modes. According to US Gamer, the game will offer MyGM team-management, MyLeague, MyCareer, and Story mode just as the PS4, Xbox, and PC versions.
This is good news for fans of the series. After the announcement from EA that FIFA 18 wouldn’t offer the single player mode “The Journey” on the switch version, many people thought this might be the same with NBA 2K18.
Another thing that the game won’t offer on the Nintendo Switch is the same graphic fidelity as the other consoles counterparts. USGamer had the chance to try the game in action and noticed a slight downgrade in character models and animation.
NBA 2K18 comes out for the PS4, PS3 Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch on September 19.
