NBA Live 15 being delayed to polish the game

The look on these players' faces says it all. Disappointment but understanding. EA Sports' NBA Live 15 is delayed from October 7 to October 28 — only three weeks, but still a delay that might hurt the game when it comes to going head-to-head against NBA 2K15.

In an open letter from executive producer Sean O'Brien, the reason stated for the delay was polish. O'Brien wrote, "we will be taking a few extra weeks to polish the game and make sure you get an incredible NBA experience from the moment you first boot up the title."

October 28 is the opening night of the 2014-15 NBA season, while 2K15 releases on the 7th.

O'Brien continued, "This was a hard decision, but it's the right one, as we are totally committed to delivering the highest-quality game we possibly can."

Over the coming weeks, EA Sports will release more details on the improvements of the game, and it starts with this first gameplay blog.
