NBA Live 07 Season Simulation Winners
Announced

Dallas Mavericks capture first NBA
championship in EA’s NBA Live 07 videogame simulation of 2006-07 NBA Season

The Dallas Mavericks captured their first NBA
championship by defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games during an
Electronic Arts NBA LIVE 07 videogame simulation that offers complete fantasy
results on the entire 2006-07 NBA season.

Mavericks’ forward Dirk Nowitzki was named The
Finals MVP after averaging 20.3 points and 8.8 rebounds in the playoffs. During
the regular season, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Kevin Garnett received the MVP
award after scoring 25.8 ppg, leading the league in rebounding (12.1 rpg) and
finishing third overall in blocks (2.5 bpg).

The fourth playoff seed in the Western Conference
after posting a 56-26 regular season record, the Mavericks reached the The
Finals for a second consecutive year after defeating the top-seeded San Antonio
Spurs in a seven-game Western Conference Finals. The Cavaliers defeated the
defending NBA champion Miami Heat in seven games to capture the Eastern
Conference Finals. Last year the NBA LIVE simulation correctly predicted Miami
would advance to the NBA Finals (losing to San Antonio) and Kobe Bryant would
capture the regular season scoring title.

The 2006-07 “NBA Opening Week … It’s Game Time”
readies to tip off on Oct. 31 with two games featuring the defending NBA
champion Heat at home against the Chicago Bulls and Los Angles Lakers hosting
the Phoenix Suns.

In the NBA LIVE 07 simulation, the Spurs posted
an NBA-best 65-17 record while the New York Knicks finished last overall with a
19-63 mark. Eight teams posted 50 or more wins including the Spurs (65-17),
Phoenix Suns (62-50), Cavaliers (58-24), Mavericks (56-26), Los Angeles Clippers
(55-27), Heat (54-28), Houston Rockets (52-30) and Chicago Bulls (52-30).

Additional results of the NBA LIVE 07 simulation
for 2006-07 NBA Season include:

  • Philadelphia 76ers’ Allen Iverson capturing
the NBA scoring title with 30.5 ppg, but unable to lead the 76ers into the
    playoffs.
  • Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James, ranking
fifth in scoring with 27 ppg, and leading the Cavaliers to the best regular
season record in the Eastern Conference at 58-24.
  • Chicago Bulls’ Ben Wallace earning Defensive
    Player of the Year award.
  • Charlotte Bobcats’ Adam Morrison receiving the
    Rookie of the Year award.
  • New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets’ Desmond
Mason receiving the Sixth Man award.
  • Orlando Magic’s Jameer Nelson earning Most
    Improved Player.
  • San Antonio Spurs’ Greg Popovich receiving
    Coach of the Year award

NBA LIVE 07 was released worldwide in September
under the EA SPORTS™ brand. NBA LIVE, the best-selling basketball videogame
franchise of all-time, celebrates its 12th year in style with all new features,
stunning graphics and improved gameplay.
