The Facebook account for Need for Speed posted an announcement today with the date May 21st and letting fans know to turn to their YouTube page in order to get the first look at the return of NFS.
The original picture is very dark, with just the text being clearly visible, though if you do look very closely, you can see two cars in the picture.

Though some GAFfers were able to enhance the picture, to show the two cars more clearly.
While that imagery already somewhat screams Underground, it isn't until GAFfer iMax noticed this job listing which is mostly redacted, but shows the titles being worked on and how long that person has been active. The original NFS Underground game came out in 2003, so that couldn't possibly be it since this person started in 2007.
