Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered revealed for PC & Consoles

Electronic Arts has revealed Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered and announced that it is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch this November. Check out the reveal trailer below!

Often cited as one of the best Need for Speed games ever created, the legendary Hot Pursuit is getting a well-deserved remaster. Originally launched a full decade ago on the last-gen consoles, developer Criterion Games crafted an adrenaline-packed open-world racer that truly stood the test of time.

Sadly, the franchise admittedly lost its focus in the following years, with the name Need for Speed mostly being known for middling racers that try to find a new footing with every new entry seemingly.

Unleash a savage sense of speed both as an outlaw and a cop in this timeless racing experience updated for today’s platforms. Get cross-platform multiplayer and Autolog, enhanced visuals, all main DLC delivered at launch, and much more. It’s time to reignite the pursuit.

So, it’s nice to relive the glory days of one of the best arcade racers with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered. The remaster will include all previous DLC which is great but also pack an additional punch in the form of new achievements, cosmetics, and a new photo mode. Something that has established itself as a must these days.

While the base PS4 and Xbox One will run Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered at 1080p at 30fps, owners of the upgraded PS4 Pro and Xbox One X can choose between a resolution mode that locks the game at pristine 4K and 30fps or choose to go for maximum performance at 1080p and 60fps. A very nice inclusion.

The Nintendo Switch will run at 720p/30fps in handheld mode and 1080p/30fps in docked. Furthermore, while the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions will launch on November 6th, Switch owners will get their version a week late on November 13th.
