Need for Speed: Most Wanted on Wii U eyeing a mid-March release date

Earlier today, Electronic Arts posted a press release detailing the release of the Wii U version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and then they promptly removed it. This leads me to believe that they didn't intend to release any information yet, or something was wrong in the release. The announcement included a March 14 release date for Japan and a mid-March release for North America, with no UK launch details revealed.

With a nifty piece of gaming tech in the Wii U's GamePad, every game that comes to Nintendo's new console will be judged based on what they did with the GamePad and its controls. Luckily, there were a few details on the GamePad's functionality, as well. Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be playable entirely on the GamePad. In addition to the off-screen play, you can declutter your screen by moving HUD information and menus to the GamePad display.

When Need for Speed: Most Wanted launched on PS3, PC and 360, we rated it an 8.5/10, which you can read about HERE
