Need for Speed Most Wanted pre-order incentives revealed

Continuing the company’s pre-order history, EA is offering players an upgrade to Need for Speed Most Wanted’s Limited Edition by simply pre-ordering the game before it launches this October. In addition, players who pre-order the title from select retailers will receive a distinct, in-game incentive that’ll surely rev up your excitement for the upcoming racer even more.

EA’s press release detailed the contents of the upgraded, $59.99 Limited Edition, which is headlined by four hours (your first four) of “double speed points,” or simply double XP across every multiplayer mode. The edition will also include two early-unlocked cars with special performance modifications: the 2012 Porsche 911 Carerra S and Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale – cars that few of us can afford, but will surely enjoy wrecking in-game.

The pre-order goodies don’t stop there, though. EA also detailed the entire outline for retailer-specific incentives, though these stores were not specifically named (we can already assume Best Buy and GameStop will be included). Below you can view the in-game “DLC” that EA describes as “unique modifications that fit different play styles,” and decide which pack best suits you:

–Speed Pack: The Caterham Superlight R500 in the exclusive Satin Black livery, featuring the Track Tyres Modification for improved road handling, and the Lightweight Chassis Modification allowing players to reach mesmerizing speeds

–Strike Pack: The Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series in the exclusive Satin Black livery, featuring the Power Pack Powertrain Modification for an engine tuned for torque, acceleration and the ability to reach breakneck speeds, and the Re-inflating Tyres Modification making it easier to survive and counter rivals’ attempts to slow players down

–Power Pack: The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor in the exclusive Satin Black livery, featuring the Reinforced Chassis Modification for taking increased damage, and the powerful and violent Nitrous Dump Modification for making tight jumps and powered up takedowns

Need for Speed Most Wanted hits store shelves October 30 for US consumers and November 1. Until then, we ask you: which pre-order goody will you be nabbing? Let us know by commenting below.
