Netflix released a response to an inquisitive Nintendo Switch fan today that has already been corrected by the media streaming company. According to Netflix, there is still hope for the Nintendo Switch.
Earlier today, Netflix released a statement saying that there are “currently no plans for Netflix on Nintendo Switch.” A new statement from Netflix, found on Twitter, details that the previous statement had been deleted in favor of their new statement, which is the correct statement.
In the new statement, Netflix details that they are still “exploring” the opportunity with Nintendo, but have no concrete plans.
Correction: We are still exploring the opportunity with Nintendo, but don’t have definitive plans to share at this time. The incorrect original tweet has been removed.

The Netflix streaming app has been a subject of discussion since prior to the hybrid console’s release, as well as after the device released. It’s fair to say that it’s something Nintendo Switch owners are looking forward to seeing release. The Hulu app has been available on the Nintendo Switch for a few months now.
Netflix can be found on nearly every device that supports a browser or applications, including the Nintendo 3DS. It’s unclear what is holding Netflix back from committing to the Nintendo Switch.
