Netflix on PS3 Gets Search

Two bits of Netflix-related news for PlayStation 3: First, Netflix for Sony’s console finally has the much-needed search. Second, by October, PS3-owners will no longer need a disc for streaming. The service has been available for the PlayStation 3 since early November of last year, meaning that the service is likely to go disc-less roughly a year after launch. Xbox owners have enjoyed Netflix since late 2008, while the Wii version arrived in April 2010.

Xbox 360 owners should be able to use the search come November, but there is no word on either of these features coming to the Wii.
