Perfect World and Cryptic Studios today announced that Neverwinter is officially coming to the PS4. All nine current expansions and eight playable classes will be featured in the game when it hits later this summer. “Neverwinter on PlayStation 4 secures Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic’s place on consoles,” said Bryan Huang, CEO for Perfect World Entertainment. “Our goal with Neverwinter has always been to deliver a high-quality, D&D MMORPG that exceeds our players’ expectations. As the PlayStation Nation makes their way through the Forgotten Realms, we look forward to expanding the Neverwinter experience with our upcoming expansion, Storm King’s Thunder, and beyond.”
With nearly a thousand hours logged in Neverwinter, PS4 players are going to have A LOT of catch up to play. Most of the game's campaigns are end game zones where you need to be level 60 or above to even take part in. PlayStation Plus will not be required, and Neverwinter will remain free for all console owners. No exact date has been announced yet, but we will let you know as soon as we hear. Check out the announcement trailer for PS4 below. The 10th expansion announced today, Storm King's Thunder, will not be part of the transition as it does not arrive on PC until August and Xbox One at a later date.
