Neverwinter is coming to Windows 10

Dungeons & Dragons invades the Microsoft store

Perfect World and Cryptic Studios have announced that their increasingly popular Dungeons & Dragons MMO Neverwinter will be launching soon on Windows 10. Currently, the game is available on both PC and Xbox One and is free to play.

Since it's release last March on Xbox One and late 2014 on PC, Neverwinter has seen nine expansions on PC. Seven of those have come to Xbox One already, with The Maze Engine (8th expansion) coming May 3rd and Portabello's Campaign (9th expansion) at a TBD date. The upcoming Maze Engine takes place after the events of Underdark and includes an all new campaign focused around mounts and their new upgrades.

We reached out to Perfect World to clarify some details on the new Windows 10 version. There was no release date listed with only a "coming soon" announcement and we also checked to see if the Windows 10 version players would be able to play with those on Xbox One as many Microsoft titles will be doing. In addition, we also asked to see when Windows 10 would be receiving updates, as Xbox One tends to get updates approximately six weeks after the PC release. As soon as we hear we will let you know, and be sure to check out all of the Neverwinter news on their official site here.

Neverwinter is available as a free to play MMO at the Xbox Store now.
