Neverwinter is getting a new update called Shadowmantle before the end of the year, mere months after its August expansion, Fury of the Feywild.
The update to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game introduces the Hunter Ranger, an expert class that deals both ranged and melee damage.
"We already have one class beyond the Hunter that's almost, I'd say 50 to 60 percent done, so that will be our next one," producer Andy Velasquez told Polygon. "But … we're staggering development on those, so that's always going to be the cadence we want to do. As the Hunter Ranger gets close to being released, then we'll be working on the next one. Once that one gets close to release, there will be the one following."
As a bonus, every other class will receive an additional Paragon Path, accessible after characters reach level 30. Developer Cryptic Studios is also overhauling the interface for Enchantments to make it less confusing, and players will receive an equipment slot for Artifacts, rare items that level up with them.
In addition, players can explore the Dread Ring, a new location settled inside the skeleton of a black dragon. Its story ties up some loose ends from Fury of the Feywild.
