Earlier this month, Microsoft unveiled their new 1TB Xbox One console, and now it's Sony's chance to retaliate. Today, Sony unveiled their 1TB console, although so far it has only been annoucned for Europe.
In addition to offering twice the storage space of the existing PS4, the new console is designed to be 10 percent lighter than the original model, and it consumes 8 percent less power. It also boasts a new matte finish, giving it a "more casual" look, according to Sony. The 1TB edition will offer black or white consoles for players to choose from to fit their desired preference.
The new console will launch in Japan at the end of this month, before rolling out to Europe and other global regions shortly after.
Their is still no official price date revealed, but as of now the 1TB Playstation 4 launches on July 15 in Europe. Hopefully this "ultimate player" edition will make its way over to the US in the near future.
