New action figures better detail the look of the Zords in ‘Power Rangers’

A line up of action figures for the upcoming 'Power Rangers' movie reveals a closer look at the new Zord design.

It's been a commonplace occurance over the last few years to have major character designs for movies revealed first by action figure or toy images than official studio promo images alone. Most recently, the first glimpse of Goldar for the upcoming 'Power Rangers' movie was revealed in some stills from a planned commercial. Now, it seems we have our first official look at what the newest versions of the Zords will be like in a series of pics marketing the toy line. (Check them out on the next page!)

You'll notice there have been a lot of changes, mainly the addition of external weapons (and in some cases, extra legs?!) in order to make the Zords more formidable before having to combine into the iconic Megazord. The new arsenal appear to range from cannons to blasters to even…net launchers? These are still just the watered down, preliminary images of the behemoth machines, but hopefully we'll get a far more detailed look before the movie releases next year.
