New Alien game in development at Cold Iron Studios

A new Alien game is in development at a new studio, recently acquired by FoxNext Games, that is filled with veterans of the gaming industry.

Founded in 2015, Cold Iron Studios is a nearly three-year-old game studio composed of industry veterans. These industry veterans have worked on a number of games, including  Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, Bioshock Infinite, Metroid Prime 3, Doom and Borderlands.

The Alien game will be Cold Iron Studios’ first game. The game has been described as a shooter ‘set in the cinematic universe of the Alien franchise.’ It will be available on ‘consoles’ and PC. There was no mention on whether or not ‘consoles’ includes the Nintendo Switch.

FoxNext has detailed that this will be the first of many “new AAA offerings across numerous fan favorite properties and original games.” Which properties will get a game next is unknown and it is unclear whether or not Disney’s purchase of Fox will affect any of FoxtNext’s plans.

No release date or release window for the upcoming Alien game has been revealed.
