New Butcher’s Bridge ARAM brings Bilgewater to life in League of Legends

Later this summer, Riot Games is launching a new event in League of Legends called Bilgewater: Burning Tides. As part of the event, we will temporarily say goodbye to the snow-covered ARAM map in place of a new pirate-themed one that will "bring Bilgewater to life for the first time in game."

The new map boasts the original native culture of Bilgewater and the outside influence from across Runeterra molded together. In this port, you'll find a mix of races, cultures, and creeds. While ARAM's gameplay will remain exactly the same, certain elements — inhibitors, nexii, and towers — will be reskinned to incorporate "blends of ancient and modern Bilgewater imagery." You'll also find elements scattered around bases, including boat houses flanking a temple door on one side of the map, while a giant ship hull sits ensconced on the other.

While a video of the map in action can be seen above, head over to Riot's blog for a more in-depth breakdown of how they brought Bilgewater to life with Butcher's Bridge.
