Having taken what they learned last week, Bungie has applied the new matchmaking settings made in Iron Banner to Skirmish in Destiny.
Bungie made a series of matchmaking changes last week in an effort to help reduce lag. Though there is still "some consideration given to matching you with worthy adversaries," the primary emphasis is on "connection quality."
The series of matchmaking changes come months after Bungie quietly deployed some updates back in December. The stealth changes made last year came to a surprise to players, upsetting many. As a result, Bungie has vowed to be more open about future updates.
The developer says they'll perform more analysis on the new changes before applying them to more Crucible playlists.
