New details for latest Age of Empires II HD Expansion

The seemingly eternal Age of Empires II is getting another new expansion for its HD version.  According to the Forgotten Empires Developer blog, The African Kingdoms will be releasing later this year on Steam, bringing new civilizations such as the Malians and the Berbers into the fray.  The expansion was also revealed during an interview on Twitch during E3.

What fans might be most intrigued by is the added gameplay depth that the expansion will be giving to the Age II experience.  Foundation stability will now be a factor in game, as buildings will hold up to varying degrees based on what kind of terrain, such as grass or sand, that the player builds them on.

The developers are promising to reveal more details in the near future, but for now they are keeping a lid on the price and official release date.
