Evolution Studios has provided another update on the status of Driveclub. In a post tonight, the developer informed PlayStation owners that they will be rolling out a new game update some time over the next 24 hours. Alongside the update will be server upgrades which the developer says "will improve server performance, clubs and multiplayer functionality."
"We are also running essential diagnostics periodically to help us continue to improve server performance, which may disrupt online play for you when you get connected," the developer warned. "This will be kept to a minimum."
Evolution Studios apologized to players affected by the server issues, promising that they are "working around the clock" to improve connectivity.
Sadly, there's still no new update on the status of Driveclub PS Plus Edition, the slightly stripped-down version of the game that was supposed to be made available for free to PlayStation Plus members on the same day as the game's retail launch. Last we heard, Evolution Studios is first trying to ensure the online servers are functional before inviting an entire wave of PS Plus members on board.
