One of the best ways to keep a game alive for a longer amount of time is to add content one way or another. Fatshark are adding more characters to their success of a game called Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide.
In an exclusive interview with GameZone, Fatshark revealed that the recent skyrocketing game Vermintide will soon be getting more heroes to fight off the Skaven. A job listing on their website said that they were looking for a Senior Character Designer and prior to today no one knew what they were hiring the Designer for.
When we asked, the CEO of Fatshark, Martin Wahlund, on why they were hiring a new Senior Character Designer he replied, "it is to make more characters, basically."
Apparently they will add both more enemies and playable characters, but it is a long process so it will take a while. From concept art to finished, new playable characters take months.
"Definitely! New enemies, new playable characters and such. That’s what we are working on now and it is really fun, it’s an interesting process. It takes a while to build new characters so you have to start in time," explained Wuhland before going on to detail that it would take time to implement. " If we are going to release a new character then it will take a few months to get it done, and then there is testing and all that."
So expect some new characters for Vermintide in the near future!
