New Fantastic Four trailer electrifies us with Dr. Doom and super powers

Not to be overshadowed by the monsoon of trailers we saw this past week, Fox has released a new one for the upcoming "conetmporary re-imagining" of Marvel's Fantastic Four.

The new trailer extends upon what we saw in the original teaser trailer, providing us with not only more background story, but a much more exciting look at each of the character's super powers in action. We also get our first look at the film's villain, Doctor Doom.

The trailer is definitely better than our first look at the film, but I feel like it's going to be hard for Fox to keep up with the likes of the Avengers: Age of Ultron, Jurassic World, the new Star Wars films, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The new Fantastic Four film has a much more sci-fi feel to it, which I guess makes sense considering the source. I'm not 100 percent sold on it yet, but I absolutely love the casting decisions so far. The cast includes Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Michael B. Jordan as Human Torch, Kate Mara as Invisible Woman, Jamie Bell as Thing, and Toby Kebbell as Dr. Doom.

Fantastic Four releases on August 7, 2015.
