Unlike the Kirkman's The Walking Dead, the Fear The Walking Dead spinoff shows the initial stages of the outbreak. While we are quite familiar with what's happening in Los Angeles, the characters in the show have no idea what's going on. And because of that, Fear the Walking Dead will focus on a much different question:
"What did the world look like as it was transforming into the horrifying apocalypse depicted in The Walking Dead? This summer, AMC will answer that question with Fear The Walking Dead, an all-new original series set in Los Angeles, following new characters as they face the beginning of the end of the world."
Fear The Walking Dead will premiere on AMC on August 23.

In just a few weeks, we'll witness the zombie apocalypse as told in Fear The Walking Dead, AMC's spinoff show to The Walking Dead (a show based on Robert Kirkman's comic of the same name).
While we were treated to a trailer for the highly anticipated show at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this month, AMC recently released some high quality character photos. More than likely these are staged shots and not anything we'll be seeing in an actual episode, but it's still fun to see the cast of Fear The Walking Dead up close. After all, these are the people we'll be following for the next few seasons.
