New Fear The Walking Dead poster could explain why the Lakers are so bad

Following Fear The Walking Dead's full trailer debut at San Diego Comic-Con, AMC has released a new poster for the upcoming spinoff show to The Walking Dead.

The poster gives off a creepy vibe as two unsuspecting L.A. residents play a game of basketball with a walker lurking in the background, heading towards them. It's a perfect depiction of the type of show Fear The Walking Dead is, a "companion series" set during the initial stages of the zombie outbreak.  While we are quite familiar with what's happening in Los Angeles, the characters in the show have no idea what's going on. And because of that, Fear the Walking Dead will focus on a much different question:

"What did the world look like as it was transforming into the horrifying apocalypse depicted in The Walking Dead? This summer, AMC will answer that question with Fear The Walking Dead, an all-new original series set in Los Angeles, following new characters as they face the beginning of the end of the world."

Fear The Walking Dead is set to premiere on AMC on Sunday, August 23rd at 9:00pm ET/PT with an extended 90-minute episode. Check out the new poster below and the first trailer for the highly anticipated series above.

Maybe the Los Angeles Lakers are so bad because all their potential players are being eaten by walkers.
