New Fire Emblem Heroes Event has Orbs-a-Plenty

Fire Emblem Heroes, the latest Nintendo property on mobile devices, is having a special event that basically hands summoning orbs out like candy. Get those summoning stats ready!

For those who don't know, Fire Emblem Heroes is a combination of all the Fire Emblem games. The story has all the heroes being teleported to another world where they do battle with others. This is done through the summoner (you) summoning these heroes via summoning orbs that are collected through the game. This is how you get familiar faces in your armies.

The event takes the form of a certain quest line. These quests focus on weapon mastery, so the player must clear part of the story and training tower with full teams of a certain weapon, as opposed to balancing your team like usual.

While these quests break up the usual team balancing, it actually does a good job teaching the strengths and weaknesses of the three primary weapons. Each weapon, sword, Axe and lances, all have their own map with one normal and one hard difficulty.

As mentioned before, these maps spill tons of orbs. If that's not enough, players that log in during the event each day will get two bonus orbs just for showing up. With the login bonus plus the quests, players can earn up to 26 orbs. Considering how slowly orbs are gained, this is a pretty awesome way to collect them. The event ends February 26.
