New Game of Thrones Season 5 features violence, bloodshed and… dragons!

After spending four seasons in the desert on the opposite side of the world, it looks like Khaleesi, Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, is finally ready to claim her throne and rule Westeros. At least that's what a new surprise trailer from HBO suggests.

The new trailer, released today in celebration of HBO Now coming Apple devices, opens with a monologue from the Daenerys in which the Mother of Dragons claims "I'm not going to stop the wheel. I'm goign to break the wheel," in reference to those already fighting for the throne.

All the while, we're shown intense clips featuring violence, bloodshed, sex, and dragons… Yes, dragons. In line with the recently released poster for Season 5, the trailer only teases us with clips of dragons, but boy am I excited.

Earlier today, the plot synopses for the first three episodes of Game of Thrones Season 5 were revealed. If you don't mind spoiling things, check them out here. Or, if you enjoy the surprise, wait until the Game of Thrones Season 5 debut on April 12, 2015. And if you think reading the books will help prepare you for the chaos, you're wrong.
