New gameplay mode for Skylanders Trap Team announced

Kaos, from the Skylanders game, must've taken over Activision's PR department, because I got a press release from him this morning. There were typical Kaos insults in there, calling us sniveling Portal Masters, but the purpose of the release was to announced a new gameplay mode for Skylanders Trap Team in honor of Emperor Kaos.

And so we have the "Kaos Doom Challenge," where Portal Master will battle through increasingly difficult waves of minions. It's kind of like tower defense, as you can build defensive towers to help you defeat the enemies. Any of the Skylanders from your collection will be usable in this mode. During the mode, the "Mystery Box of Doom" will open to spew out gigantic villains, but you'll be able to use any Trapped Villains you have to fight back.

Skylanders Trap Team releases October 5 in North America (October 10 in Europe) on Wii, Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and a unique adventure for 3DS.
