Microsoft's upcoming Gears of War game will launch exclusively for Xbox One, a developer from Black Tusk Studios confirmed yesterday.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, Black Tusks Studios' Jack Felling revealed the heartbreaking news to Xbox 360 owners.
@Clayton_117 No sorry, it won't be available on the 360 but it will be available for the Xbox One!

While disheartening to Xbox 360 owners, I'm sure Xbox One owners are ecstatic to be getting a new game that won't be hamstrung by last-gen hardware.
Last month, Black Tusk also shot down rumors of a Gears of of War collection that would bundle the first three games in HD for Xbox One. However, he at least acknowledged that they are working on "other exciting" Gears projects, suggesting a reveal at E3.
So if you own an Xbox 360, but desperately want to play the new Gears of War, you might want to start thinking about upgrading. While the new game hasn't officially been revealed, we know it's coming — so star planning accordingly. In the meantime, Xbox LIVE Gold members can download Gears of War: Judgment for Xbox 360 for free until April 15.
