Paramount Pictures releases a new pre-teaser before the first official trailer to the upcoming 'Ghost in the Shell'.
We've been receiving a series of very short teasers for the upcoming 'Ghost in the Shell' live action adaptation over the last few months. Recently, Paramount Pictures has given us the first official release date slated for the first full length trailer.
The pre-teaser just shows Scarlett Johansson as "The Major" utilizing her cybernetic enhancements in combat. The scene is then followed by "Tokyo" and "11.13". It seems the first trailer will be shown at a special event screening in Tokyo on November 13th, which will include Johansson, actor, Takeshi Kitano, and director, Rupert Sanders.
The studio also revealed last week that the plot of the movie wouldn't be following the original film's storyline, but will in fact follow more closely to the anime, 'Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex', which focused on the terrorist, Hideo Kuze, and the regime known as the "Individual Eleven".
The movie stars Scarlett Johansson, Takeshi Kitano, Michael Wincott, Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, and is directed by Rupert Sanders.
Ghost in the Shell releases March 31, 2017!
