Dan Aykroyd, an original Ghostbuster, has been more than supportive for the upcoming Ghostbusters, saying that the "Lady Ghostbusters" were "adorable, hilarious and badass." He's even said that he would be in the upcoming Ghostbusters film in a now deleted tweet.
Aykroyd wasn't done singing his praise for the upcoming movie. Since his tweet regarding the cameo last year, a lot has changed for the upcoming Ghostbusters movie. It's trailer was revealed and is moving towards the top of the most disliked YouTube videos and director Paul Feig called out the fan backlash, saying "Geek Culture is home to some of the biggest assholes I've ever met in my life.
Despite all of this, Aykroyd is still pulling for the film (although, that might be because he's in it).
"As originator of the original: Saw test screening of new movie. Apart from brilliant, genuine performances from the cast both female and male, it has more laughs and more scares than the first two films plus Bill Murray is in it!" Aykroyd wrote on Facebook (via IGN).
"As one of millions of man-fans and Ray Stantz, I'm paying to see that and bringing all my friends!"
The interesting part of of his Facebook post is that the post itself is in quotations, while a majority of his other posts are not. My skeptical mind does not like that.
