Last night, Microsoft debuted not one, but two live-action TV ads for the highly anticipated Halo 5: Guardians. Continuing with the whole "Hunt the Truth" theme, both ads are almost identical, except roles are reversed which actually leaves us with more questions than answers.
The first trailer is told through the point of view of Spartan Locke, one of the new characters in Halo 5. In the minute-or-so clip, Locke approaches a wounded Master Chief, ranting about the destructed he's supposedly responsible for. It ends with a massive cliffhanger.
Turns out that was only one of two trailers Microsoft had planned. The second spot is practically the same except the roles are reversed. This time Master Chief is approaching a wounded Locke and accuses him of being the source of destruction.
Who do we believe!? We'll have to wait a while to find out as Halo 5: Guardians is set to release on October 27th.
