New image of Lara Croft in Tomb Raider movie released; Justice League gets new photo too

We got our first look at Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider movie just a couple months ago, but it's time we get another look.

The film, which is set to release March 16th, 2018, will be a reboot for the film series based on the video game reboot that released in 2013. The movie will focus on a younger Croft who has no experience in Tomb Raiding.

“She has all the fierce, tough, curious, intelligent traits,” said Vikander to Entertainment Weekly, “but we’ve stripped away all of her experience. She hasn’t gone on an adventure just yet. She thought he was a stuck up businessperson living in the modern youth culture of suburban London, but then this whole box of information. This is the beginning.”

Vikander went on to detail that the team threw her into the elements to get the shots they needed for Tomb Raider.

“For one action scene, we used the London venue for Olympic rafting,” she says with a bemused laugh. “They threw me down that river — with my hands tied — about 50 times. I didn’t need to act, just react!”

On a similar note, Justice League has a new photo, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. Justice League is set to release on November 17th.
