New Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst trailer shows a different Faith, same great gameplay

First extended look at upcoming prequel doesn't disappoint

The Mirror’s Edge Catalyst teaser that was unveiled a few days ago has become a full-fledged trailer and establishes a few key differences in this game from the first one.

In what is undoubtedly a most welcome addition (or in this case omission), Faith will no longer use guns to kill her enemies.  She doesn’t have any special powers either which is “what makes her unique”, says Game Producer Sara Jansson.

In Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, players will be experiencing Faith’s transformation from a carefree and reckless runner to the idealist dead set on uncovering corruption which sparks her journey from the first game.

The trailer starts off normally enough with Faith looking to break into the agricultural division building known as Elysium, but things unravel quickly after entering the building when she realizes that something far more sinister is going on behind the scenes.  Faith ends up running for her life in a glass shattering, free running segment reminiscent of the segments that the original game made famous.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will launch for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One on February 25, 2016.
